Charleston Public Bus

'Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA)' is a regional transit system and serves the CHS airport via two bus routes: Route 4 and Route 11. Buses operate seven days a week, starting at 6:00 a.m. until midnight.

CARTA Express Route N4 (Blue Bus), is known as North Area Shuttle (NASH). The bus runs from the airport to downtown Charleston and stops at the Tanger Outlets and the North Charleston Visitors Center. The bus ride usually takes 25-35 minutes, and the one-way cost is 3.50$.

CARTA Route N11 is a local bus service that runs between the airport and the downtown area of Charleston with stops at Meeting Street in North Charleston and Dorchester Road. Total ride time takes 50-55 minutes.
